Description

Handcrafted from iron rich stoneware, the Lantos Lamp gets its name from of a set of tunnels along a stretch of Coastal Northern California that Jessie Dubois grew up near, which cut through the iron and gold colored mountains that are such a staple of home for her.

With slip detailing, fired 3 times over the course of 7 days, this lamp is professionally wired with brass hardware, putty cloth cord, and a custom cream linen shade.

Jessie DuBois’ work explores the ephemeral nature of a landscape. Through texture, layers of slip, embracing kiln atmosphere, use of locally foraged wild clays, plant material, and wildfire ash, it is intended to honor and preserve a terrain which is ever shifting.
